"ANGELS"Another Creation of ALLAH (Subhana Wa Ta'la), Created To Serve HIM.
Assalamualaykom Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
The Angels were created from Light
They are neither male or female
They neither eat nor drink
They do not marry nor have children
The angels are free of animal appetites
They do not getting tired of worshipping the ALMIGHTY ALLAH
"They celebrate His praises night and day,nor do they ever slacken." (Quran 21:20)
Angels from different cosmic hierarchies and orders in the sense that they are of different size,status and merit.
The Greatest of them is Gabriel. The Prophet of Islam actually saw him in his original form. Also,the attendants of God's Throne are among the Greatest Angels. They Love the Believers and Beseech GOD to forgive them their sins. They carry the Throne of GOD,about whom the Prophet Muhammad(may the Mercy and Blessings of ALLAH be upon Him)said:"I have been given permission to speak about one of the angels of GOD who carry the Throne. The distance between his ear-lobes and His shoulders is equivalent to a seven hundred years journey."(Abu Daud).
THE WINGS OF THE ANGELS:
The Angel Jibril (Gabriel) has 600 wings.
THE WORSHIP AND THE GLORIFICATION OF THE ANGELS;
The Heavens nearly split above them when the Angels Glorify the Praise of their Lord and ask Forgiveness for those on Earth." You will see the Angels circling around the Throne,Glorifying the Praise of their Lord (Holy Quran, 39:75).
THE LEADERS OF THE ANGELS;
MIKA'L(PBUH) In charge of the plants and the Rain.
JIBRIL(PBUH) is entrusted with the revelation by which hearts and souls are brought to Life.
ISRAFIL(PBUH)is entrusted with Trumpet. He will blow on it at the command of His Lord.
ANGELS OF DEATH;
AZRAIL(PBUH) He is charge of the taking of the souls.." Say: the Angels of Death,put in charge of you,will(duly) take your souls,then shall you be brought back to your Lord."(Quran 32:11).
THE GUARDIAN ANGELS;
These angels are those entrusted with Guarding each person at home and while travelling,in his sleep and when he is awaken an in all status.
THE RECORDING ANGELS;
These angels are incharge in preserving the record of each persons good and evil actions. The angels incharge of the Trial of the Grave MUNKER and NAKEER. This two angels are incharge of the dead in the Grave.
THE ANGELS OF VISIONS;
ALLAH(Subhana Wa Ta'la)Almighty has an angel who presents the things seen in the sleepers domain of perception and gives them a sensory form.
THE ANGELS OF DHIKR;
ALLAH(Subhana Wa Ta'la)Almighty has an angel who roam about seeking the People of Dhikr..
THe NUMBER OF ANGELS;
How many angels there are? Only God knows. The much frequented Houses is a Sacred Heavenly Sanctuary above the KAABA,the black cube in the city of Makkah.
Everyday seventy thousands angels visit it and Leave,never returning to it again,followed by another group.
As we learn from the above,the angels are a grandiose creation of GOD,varying in numbers,roles and abilities. GOD is no need of this creatures,but having knowledge and belief in them adds to the awe that one feels towards GOD,in that HE is able to create as HE wishes. For indeed,the Magnificence of HIS creation is a proof of the Magnificence of the Creator..
